Welcome to Moody Garden

We are a garden club consisting of Master Gardeners and Gardening Enthusiasts. Our mission is to maintain the Robert J Moody Garden for the enjoyment and education of the general public demonstrating best practices in the Yuma Arizona area.

Our History

The garden vision was conceived by Don Howell, director of the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Yuma County in 1993. It was to be a 1.73-acre demonstration garden. After years of careful planning and fundraising, the park began planting in 2002. Over the past 20 years, trees and shrubs have been added to create the garden we have now. Beautiful native plants, and exotic tropical and cultivated beds are now what the park is. The demonstration garden is a little slice of heaven in the city of Yuma all thanks to a courageous vision and lots of community help.
